2022 Race Season Results

May 23/22 We tested the car a few weeks ago and it was fast, no changes necessary. Came out for Spring Velocity, with minimal changes, and the car was not great. I can’t put my finger on the problem, but it’s something. We finished heat #1 in 4th, heat #2 in 9th and the 50 lap feature in 6th.

May 28/22 - We left for Las Vegas a few hours after Velocity, and just landed back in Toronto at 8:30am today. So with little sleep and little time, no changes have been made to the car. So, we are working on getting the car loaded and up to the race track. We’ll practice and see if we can figure out the problem for tonight.  Qualified 5th, 35 lap feature finished 6th as we lost the brakes

June 19/22 - Tonight at the track went really well considering how the beginning of the day went!
We suffered some unknown power issue in first practice that went away on its own thankfully.

Second practice we were really hard on the race track with the front end and the car was really tight. We made some changes not knowing how they would turn out and we ended up qualifying second.

The race was up and down, starting outside pole we ran on our own until the cars in front got together and spun bringing out the caution around Lap 15. We started pole for the restart and ended up spinning with contact from third place. A few laps later after the restart we came down pit road for a potential flat tire and we returned to the race track, and ended up finishing third.

The car felt amazing and fast throughout the race but we had nothing for the top 2. Congrats to Dustyn Mombourquette for his second win this year.

July 2/22 - We had a great night at the race track with friends, qualified 2nd and finished the 35 lap feature finished 2nd, but I have no recap notes for the night :(

July 16/22 Rib Fest and Fan Appreciation

It was a great day to be at the track with Rib Fest, fan appreciation and a little racing.

I won my heat race today and finished 4th in the feature

August 23/22 - unfortunately we had to miss racing tonight for a friends wedding. 

July 30/22 - Qualified 3rd, 35 lap feature finished 2nd, unfortunately I don't have recap notes

September 4/22 - We finished out the regular season with Championship weekend.  We finished strong with a 2nd in our heat and we finished the feature in 2nd as well.


The season has begun to wind down as we head into play offs, this upcoming weekend was going to be our last show of 2022 at Velocity.

Unfortunately we were told by Sunset Speedway that there will be no Limited Late Model race happening as they have cancelled it in favour for the Pro Late Model class. A few drivers that raced LLM this season luckily will fall under the rules for the PLM class allowing them to run this weekend, but built motors which myself and the LLM Track Champion have ran all year, are not allowed.

It’s extremely disappointing to not be able to run the last race of the season at my home track as it was always my favourite race. But this opens up us to potentially run a different playoff race this year, which if our team does we will update you on where you can watch us!

I will still be at the speedway and have tons of giveaway items already set to go, so I can’t wait to give back to the fans who support the sport I love so much.
